wave goodbye, wish me well.
I know I haven't updated in awhile, well not since november when I first went to Jackson Mississippi so here goes...
My new years resolution for 2008 was to travel lots, and I'm proud to say I actually kept it. Even if it was just traveling within north america. In 2008 I went to new york twice, LA, San Diego, Oceanside, Marina Del Ray (all in cali), Atlanta Georgia twice, South carolina twice, Tampa Florida, Ocala Florida, Jackson Mississippi, Dallas Texas, Calgary, and vancouver.
It was a good year for traveling and hanging out with old friends, 2008 has had some crazy times and memories that will never go away. Yet I think 2009 is going to bring about more life changing experiences.
This year my only resolutions are to stay in shape, eat healthy and move!!!
I do hope that 2009 brings more traveling. But I think the biggest travel I will do is actually pick up and move my ass out of winnipeg. It's been long coming and I can't wait to finally do it. I stayed in BC for the summer of 2008 and then went back in december for christmas and new years. I love it. I think I'd like to call that place home, at least for a few years. I have decided to get my honors/masters in psych at UBC. So I gotta get crackin on that. I had an amazing job offer lined up here in winnipeg but it requires a minimum year commitment, which I thought I could make, but have now realised I cannot make since my decision to continue school came into play. I'm nervous about school but excited at the same time. I think my dogs will be happy with the decision as they fucking hate winnipeg in the winter. I promised them and myself that this is the last winnipeg winter, so, if anything, I gotta keep my promise to them and myself.
I was going back and forth between moving to Vancouver or Toronto for the longest time. In the end I chose Vancouver. I guess we'll see how it goes, at least for the next 2-3 years. I have amazing friends in BC and my bestie Dom and her husband Justin and baby Islay are moving to Coquitlam in the summer of this year as well. I really can't be away from my Carter girls. I just love them!!!
I am excited. I'll be close to cali, so cali friends, expect lots of visits.
